![]() We offer new reloading data for the following calibers: 9mm Luger / 9x19mm, with bullets: 8,0 g / 124 gr. I dont think that 5.0gr is an excessively hot load but it will certainly produce more felt recoil than if you were using a faster powder. Any opinions Bob 5.0gr of HP-38 is just two tenths over what Hodgdon recommends on their web page for 125gr. If performance isn't there and I have no pressure signs (including comparing recoil to factory loads), I cautiously move up.īullet Weight Powder Weight Velocity Note P.F.ĜOL Posted JanuJust seems like their recommended 9mm load above might be a little hot. The overall length obviously would be different as the JHP would be significantly shorter in most cases. The charge weight would be the same as long as bullet weight was the same. FMJ and JHP are both 'jacketed', thus will use 'jacketed' load data. I start at the lowest start load and work up to the lowest Max load. We muddied the water a bit by using FMJ/JHP and plated in the same conversation. Might need to move to slightly older manuals as the newest ones tend to want to include new powders, figuring you can get their owl manuals for old powders. I've also been thinking of trying WST or W231 with my 9mm cast bullets. I like to keep 9mm lead under 1000 fps if possible. Then, it wasn't one of the "almost" every manual. Hodgdon Website lists 700X w/ a 125 gr LCN. ![]()
